Inspection of Public Records act

IPRA

The Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA) is a New Mexico state law that provides the public and media access to public information. The law requires open access to almost all public records in state and local government. The purpose of the act is to allow inspection of records that are normally maintained by public entities in order to provide transparency and insight into the operations and functions of the departments and agencies that fall within the jurisdiction of IPRA.

What Can You Request
